The conference will take place at the Santa Chiara Lab of the University of Siena.
It is the centre for interdisciplinary innovation, bringing together researchers, students, businesses, and society to develop collaborative solutions to contemporary challenges.
It is located in a historic building in the city centre, and the restoration project by the University of Siena carefully balanced the preservation of the architectural heritage with new functions for research laboratories and collaborative workspaces.

• How to reach Siena by flight

There is no airport in Siena. The nearest airports are listed below and offer convenient connections to the city.

From the airport you reach the central train station in Florence (called Santa Maria Novella) by tram or bus or taxi.
From the Florence train station to Siena, you can take the train using the “Trenitalia” service (https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html) or the direct bus line 131R using “Autolinee Toscane” service (https://www.at-bus.it/en).
Consider that the journey from Florence airport to Siena takes about 2 hours.

From the airport you reach the central train station in Pisa by tram or taxi.
From the Pisa train station to Siena, you can take the train using the “Trenitalia” service (https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html).
Consider that the journey from Pisa airport to Siena takes about 2 hours and a half.

As an alternative, you can rent a car in one of the above airports but consider that the city centre in Siena is a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL).

If you are traveling on a high-speed train, you will need to change to a Trenitalia regional train at a connecting station (such as Florence, Empoli, or Chiusi–Chianciano Terme) to reach Siena.
